[Opinions] Re: God is my Oath God is my Oath & Grace Grace
in reply to a message by Amoret
Lol my mom told me she considered naming me Grace Anna before deciding on Grace Diana. I was almost in that boat. I was indeed almost "Grace Grace" 馃槅 One of my ancestors was an Isabella Elizabeth. I think we take it for granted more people have access to etymology now; people previously just didn't know what many names meant in the general public depending on the culture. People usually just pick what sounds nice to them or use names sentimentally tied to family or friends. I'm not hugely hung up on double meanings so long as the names have decent flow. Double etymology is less an issue for me than bad cadence.
