I don't like either name

I like both names.

I like Ilario. I don't think Caterino is "wild," just that it sounds too much like Caterina.

Ilario is nice. I don't care for the sound of Caterino. I think it would also get misheard as Catarina a lot. Surprisingly I don't mind Catalino. Interesting fact, the ancient Roman Catiline was named Lucius Sergius Catilina with an A. (Catalino and Catilina actually have different origins).
