[Opinions] Baby names for 4th
Expecting baby 4 unknown gender
Siblings are all Biblical names first name and family name second
We like Josephine for a girl name but can't decide on a middle name. I don't like A endings. My gut was Josephine Anne which is a family name but I do like Charlotte. I prefer the sound of Charlotte Josephine but think it's a little strange to call them by their middle name. Josephine Rose, Josephine Marie, Josephine Louise are also possible. I don't like Loise by itself but like the two together. I also don't know that I like 2 middle names but Josephine Annemarie sounds pretty too. What's your favorite?

“Josephine Marie S…” flows well.
Did you check the family surnames?
Robinson becomes Robin, Bell - Belle/Isabel, Williams - Willa, Evans - Evan, etc.
Taylor, Parker, etc.
Or “Josephine Johnson Smith”.

I'm not too sure Many would work Wright Waterbury Sippy Strand Gertine ansdatter olsdatter Tolefson those are just from my side among others. My maiden is very Norwegian and I loved it but would not work as a middle name. A previous boys name we had we were going to use Bo which was part of my maden name
I like Josephine Charlotte.
Josephine Marianne would combine Anne & Marie and Josephine Rosemarie or Josephine Rosemary would take care of Marie & Rose.

All the names are beyond grandparents except a grandfather Charles. I like Anne Marie the best because there was an actual Anne Marie on my side. I like the thought of using Rose because I feel like it's the closest girl name to Ross which is my brother's middle name. Roslynn would maybe be a better way to go though as my dad's middle name was Lynn it just doesn't sound as good with the last name I have
Why not use Josephine Charlotte? It flows nicely and you get to use both names you like.
I like the flow of Charlotte Josephine more which is a holdup. There are many Charles on both sides of the family. Soo many. I looked and looked for a Charlotte. There is a Lottie on my side that was a sister of my ancestors. I do have a Joseph on my side that was the first over to America on the boat and he had a Grand daughter Charlotte but that seems to be the closest family tie to the actual name Charlotte. We have a Grandfather Charles and my husbands middle name is Charles. So I think my holdup is that it's not an exact name and my preference being for the sound of Charlotte Josephine. I love Charlotte but I do not like Char and don't really like Lottie although it may grow on me.
It sounds like it’s meant to be to me! Josephine Charlotte is such a classic, timeless combo and uses honouring names.
Now I hear about Lottie, I would definitely use that, but I think Lottie is so darn cute!

I think you’re overthinking it. Josephine Charlotte is a beautiful name, uses two names you enjoy, and easily honors the name Charles.
Thanks for your response. I felt like I was thinking too much about it and feel good about either Charlotte or Anne so we will see which the husband prefers. I was thinking of letting other family give input which I knew would not be a good idea so thanks for your help!
Josephine Mary or Josephine Eloise? A lot depends on her ln, of course.
The names that don't tend to work are ones ending with Lynn. Last name is an S and very common
So for our boy name which we had for baby 3 that was a girl I really liked a middle name for our boy name but didn't know of a family connection so I was searching for another name to use instead when my husband said, you know that's my dad's middle name right? So we went with that middle name. My first thought was Anne for Josephine then I learned from my MIL that was suppose to have been her middle name but somehow Sue got on her birth certificate... If it was her middle name I think I would have been sold on it but suppose to have been named and actually being named our different. I think that Annie is the closest relative being a great great grandmother. But my side has LOTS of Annes Anes. There is even an Ansdatter, Johanne, Nettie, etc. I think the 2 that have the most family connection are Anne and Charlotte.
