I like both names and I think they go well together even though they're different styles.
Emily - a pretty brunette, friendly, amiable, studious, girl-next-door
Vanessa - beautiful, glamorous, ambitious, leader of the cool girls in high school. For some reason, I see her with luscious red hair and green eyes.
