I don't like Emily. It calls to mind a prissy, teacher's-pet kind of girl who is always conspicuously going after extra credit and making a big show of reading obscure classics.
Vanessa is totally different. I thik of a Vanessa as a glamorous, sophisticated young woman who has clothes for every possible occasion and who is the life and soul of any event she goes to.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
