I dislike the nickname Dani, but I like Danielle. Amanda and Mandy are both nms.

I hardly find Mandy monotonous, as all the Amandas I've seen or known of in the last 20 years go by Amanda. Mandy is a refreshing nn for it. It's also a great Barry Manilow song.
I don't like Dani for a girl because it sounds like Danny. Oddly, I like Daniel but I've never liked Danielle.

for Danielle yes, for Amanda no.

It could work... I perfer the Nickname Mandy or Manny or Ama.

I agree, I hate Mandy, it sounds so prissy. Dani is a nice name, but mostly I like it for Danielle.
