I guess it's probably short for Kaitlyn or Kaitlin. It's fine in that context, but it will always be spelled wrong. I like the look of Kaity, though.

It guarantees a lifetime of "correcting" her parents' spelling. How could that possibly be even slightly worth while?

I feel like it would make sense if it were short for Kaitlyn/Kaitlin. It’s not horrible, but the Y on the end irks me. I’d prefer Kaitee or Kaitie.
