It's alright, but I prefer Gervase. I'm not particularly fond of it, but I think it has a bohemian vibe. I have never met one, and it's also rare in fiction. A feminine form could be Gervaise, which is used in French.

Never met one. I'd prefer Gervais. For a fem form, what about Jarvise, on the same pattern as Denise?
