[Opinions] Is Moon a weird middle name?
Is it too out there? I got the idea from Rob Zombie's wife who actually changed her middle & last name to Moon Zombie which I thought sounded nice.. What do you guys think?

I dislike it, because "moon" is such a commonplace, English word that has everyday use. Though, I can definitely appreciate it, and like the symbolism/meaning behind it! I love the moon, lol.
Middle names are the perfect place to put a guilty pleasure name. I don’t love Moon as a first name, but it is nice as a middle.
Eh, it's fine. You could have crazy middle names and nobody would ever care. I personally wouldn't like it if my parents had given me the middle name Moon and I wouldn't treasure the name, but I also don't think people would really bat an eye about it either.
The main issue is that it's a really basic noun in English, a bit like calling your child Sun, Tree or Day (although I guess Sky, Lake, River and Ocean exist as established names...) and it doesn't sound awful but I'd never say it sounds nice, it's a very meh sound and also a very literal and basic meaning. There are way nicer names out there that mean 'Moon' that I'd always go 'Why didn't they choose that?'. Hell, Luna annoys me so very much, I strongly dislike it, but I'd still think Luna > Moon. I think the 'it doesn't sound amazing and is so literal' is more of a pitfall than anything else.

The middle spot is the place to go bold and be a little wild so Moon is fine.
It is a little weird but it’s ok. A combo I think is really cute is Casper Moon, it sounds like a children’s storybook character :)
I love that!!’
Given that Moon is (also) a surname, the mn position is perfectly suitable.
Moon is a surname in my family tree. I like Moon as a middle name a lot! It's not too out there
I personally think that the middle name is a great place to put a name that you love but don’t want to saddle a kid with as their first name- including guilty pleasures. So I think Moon is perfectly fine for a middle name, honestly I think it’s pretty cute. If the person who has it doesn’t like it, they can simply not mention it.
It’s definitely quite out there with the surname Zombie too!

Thanks for the insight! And I agree, Zombie is out there. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Rob Zombie but he actually chose that as his stage name and eventually changed it to that lol. I also just found out that another musician Frank Zappa named his daughter Moon so that's cool.
