Duvic is a name in my family. In our case, it's French, with du- (of the) matched with -vic (a geographical feature -- hill maybe?). So not related to "victory," but my guess is that Vichy and other place names with "vic" are related.

I've been told it's also a Serbo-Croatian name, spelled the same but pronounced differently. No clue what the etymology is there.
