Terrific. The name pool could use a few more Theodores. A friend's sister had a Theodore a few years back. They call him Teddy. I also like the nn Theo.
I confess to prefering Theophilus (thee-AH-fil-us) more, but it's a family name for me.
Have you considered Theodora for a girl? Now there's a regal name if ever I heard one. And the nn possibilities are many: Thea, Dora, Dorie, Dottie, Dodie.

I agree - I don't know a single Theodore! Yes, I've thought of Theodore, but I guess I don't really like it. Most girls names turned into boys by adding an a (Erica, etc.) aren't my style. Thanks for responding!
