I don't think it's a very attractive name, either in sound or in meaning as a word name. Caprice means a whim, and as a name it makes me think of a stripper's stage name, or some parent giving it to their kid without really understanding the meaning but thinking it's more like Joy or Miracle.
Also, in ye olden days before they all started using SUV's, the Chevy Caprice was a popular model for police cars.
