While I prefer Una, I've finally warmed up to Unity. Obviously, Unity Mitford is an unsavory namesake, but I think the name's primacy as a word might overpower one human association. What do you think?

I've never heard of Unity Mitford; it might be possibly safe to use. I thought about the Unity game engine, so it sounds a bit technological and nerdy to me, if not corny and virtuous (like Harmony, Peace and Love). The actual sound is not a problem.
I dislike Angelica, but Unity Angelica is pretty. I also like Unity Francesca, Unity Cornelia, Unity Cordelia, Unity Celeste, Unity Maria, and Unity Matilda. Three syllable names really complement Unity.

I like some names in this style, but I can't quite see the concept as namey right now. I think of the military first ("units" -divisions- plus it seems likely it appears on a war poster); maybe because of that, it sounds sterile to me or void of personality. When I put that aside, I think of Trinity, which it compares unfavorably to imv.
My fav of the combos is Unity Priscilla; it's interesting in a very colonial-era antique way.

I wonder whether Mourning was stillborn, or born after the loss of a child?
Could be, though I've seen it used fairly often (for a rare word name anyway, about as often as Obedience, Deliverance, Morning) for people who lived into old age, with seemingly no death of the mother or a sibling. I've seen Mourning Dove, too, which makes me feel like its usage can be connected to the slightly more common Dove.

Unity has complex associations as a word. Some people are far less toxic apart than when unified. It gives me Pax Romana vibes: unity because all naysayers have been squashed. Of course, unity is excellent for productivity and getting anything done. In order for unity to be truly virtuous rather than just useful, other virtues have to be simultaneously present, but that goes for a lot of virtues.
Of the -ity names, I prefer Verity, Amity, Clarity, Felicity, or even Tenacity. Unity is a better name than Chasity or Equity.

It's too Mitford for me; also too close in sound to Eunice (which I've only ever heard with three syllables: youNEEsee or YOUnisee).
Mitford names: I like Nancy, Pamela, Lucy, Deborah and Jessica, and Thomas David.
