Sofia is a pretty name, but I have known over 10 Sofia/Sophia/Sophies in my life so far.
I have a common name, and I have a lot of regrets about it. My parents don't regret it, but I dislike it. I would personally not choose a common name for my future child, but if that's not a dealbreaker for you, definitely choose something you like.
