Go with Ariel. It was an established Hebrew boys' name meaning "lion of God" long before the mermaid came along. It's honestly a ridiculous name for a Disney princess. If the name is meaningful to you, use it and teach your son to be proud of it. Alternatively, he can go by one of his middle names.
