Rachel has also always been a favorite of mine; I would name a daughter as Rachel in a heartbeat. My only personal qualm is that I have an extended-family member named Rachel, and a Rachael married into the family (to differentiate, one is even called Rachel Marie, her first and middle name). Though, I never see them...so, maybe it would still be alright to use? I don't know. Some names that I'd use as an alternative are Reagan, Michelle, and Raquel / Rachelle.
