It doesn't sound unisex to me, but like a surname. If I'd encounter it as a fn, I'd assume it's for a boy though. It doesn't give off any feminine vibes to me whatsoever. A woman named Remington would be weird to me. A boy named Remington, hopefully with nn Remi or Remy, which I adore for a boy, would be nice though.
