[Opinions] What name that has left the top 1000 in the last few years are you most sad about?
It doesn't have to be last year or this year. It can be as far back as 2015. Mine are Tatiana (2022) and Karen (2020) it's sad how memes ruined a nice name like Karen.

does anyone know if there's an easy way of seeing which names left the charts?
Kinda sad to see Kristina fall off; it's 80s, but not THAT 80s, even Tiffany is hanging on the Top 1000. Even the classic Christina is amazingly low, in the 700s. Especially with Christianity being so popular now, with the megachurches and whatnot, you'd think it would be more appreciated. I guess it's considered quite old fashioned and boring now? Christine falling off the charts completely is wild. Dana had fallen off a couple years ago and I was astonished. She came back last year at #970 but I guess I wouldn't be surprised to see it fall off again. It's such a polite, timeless little name, like Anna, I don't get why it's not more appreciated.Theresa stopped charting in 2010, that's truly incredible. Such a classic name. It's really pretty too.

I have a sister named Kristina, born in the 90's, so yeah, naturally the name doesn't feel exclusively 80's to me. I understand if Kristina just fell out of favor, but other Chris type names falling is certainly weird, I agree. Tiffany on the other hand I can see falling off the charts-not this year, but soon. I know it increased a lot last year, but I very much doubt it'll take off and have a dramatic resurgence. If it does, I'll be shocked.
It’s even weirder because Christopher and Christian are still super popular. Why is it just the female variants?
I personally prefer Teresa over Theresa, which is also a lot more popular right now. I find the H to be unnecessary.
Teresa looks half-baked to me. Like a typo.

Patricia (2020)
Sonia (2018)
Zola (2022)I wonder what caused Tatiana to leave the chart. It's a very appealing name.
OMG, I forgot about Sonia! I'm also very sad that one left; it's stunning!
Russian war?
I doubt it. For instance, Nikolai, Anya, Milena and Zoya are still charting, and Tatiana's decline began at the very start of the 2000s. It wasn't even trendy to begin with.
I could only find the list from last year's and the year before that. If I can find older lists, I'll add those in. 2023:
Alaric (I'm really surprised this one didn't stick around)
Brennan
Canaan & Kanan
Larry (This was the name of my favorite uncle growing up, so the name holds lots of meaning to me, but I completely understand why the name dropped off.)
Niklaus 2022:
Etta (This one just can't seem to hold on. It's a shame because it fits in with SO many other names!)
Cory (An end of an era. 😪 & Also my brother's middle name)Kristina (2017)

Ahhh, I love Brennan! I didn't even realize that one had left. Brendan is also leaving soon. I don't understand what happened to these names!
Surprised Etta left with the popularity of Ella. Cory isn't my name. Don't really like the others.
Yes, Etta fits in with a lot of other names that are favorable right now, Ella being just one prime example. Lots of E names, 4 lettered, 2 syllables names, other names with similar endings & older, vintage names. Etta fits right into all of those categories.
However I did take a look at the charts and looks like it came back last year. Hope it decides to stick around.Edit: It's still on the charts but has fallen. Weird.

I love this question!!!I'm most sad about:
Christine (2019)
Ciara (2016)
Crystal (2021)
Denise (2020)
Gary (2022)
Jada (2022)
Kristina (2017)
Lindsey (2019)
Marissa (2019)
Tara (2017)
Terrence (2018)I understand why Gary left; I'm just nostalgic because it's my dad's name. The others I genuinely don't understand because they're gorgeous names. Christine seems like it should've been a classic, and I think Crystal had classic potential too. All the names I listed are much better than Baylor, Collins, Kinsley, Murphy, Oaklynn, Remington, Poppy, Sutton... sigh.
Guess I can add Simone to this list!
Simone left? Wow. I mean I knew it wasn't a super common name or anything, but still. It's pretty nice.
I'm surprised Christine, Gary and Denise were in tne top that long. I'm sad to see Jada and Marissa leave, despite not being my favorite names. Every new name that enters the top 1000 makes me want to puke. Why parents! They won't be kids forever! All the new boys names sound like there from a sci fi movie and all the girl names have lynn or Leigh at the end.
I truly despise the -lynn and -leigh endings. Not a fan of -lee either. -lyn and -ley are okay, but the other endings are not it.
If it helps, a lot of those type of names are declining. I've been tracking all those -leigh &
-lee variant spellings within the u.s for a few years and the majority of them have been falling quickly. I hope the momentum remains.

Claudia. Hasn't charted since 2019, which is shocking to me. It was never a too wildly popular name, for certain, but it seems like one of those that are just always there, like its fate was to always be floating on the edges but still ever present.
I love Antonia as well, hasn't been seen since 2016.
Anita hasn't been in the Top 1000 since 2005.
Susanna has been absent for near 25 years.
I really like Claudia, but the meaning is "lame one." Maybe that has a factor?
I have two friends named Susanna, both teenagers.
Claudia isn't one of my favorite names, but I agree that it's shocking it left. It 100% seems like a classic name, and it's definitely pretty.
