[Opinions] Unisex Names
I understand that the general guideline for counting a name as unisex is that it is used for one gender less than 95% of the time (the other more than 5%).
However, how exactly is this percentage calculated? If a name is historically not/rarely used for either gender (also has a unisex meaning), then slowly starts to be used for male, and then
(for example) 93% male one year and 7% female, 95:5 the next year, BUT 96:4 this year...would it count as a unisex name?
Or is the percentage calculated not yearly/specific year but all time? So would it not count as a unisex name, even if it has met the correct ratio multiple years?(By the way, was not sure which board to put this in, so chose opinion)

I feel like this goes on the name facts board because it’s about how the site works.
