Hot take: Everyone is saying this is okay because it’s been done for centuries, but I think the fact that it’s been done for centuries doesn’t make it any less cringey and arrogant. Kids deserve their own name and identity, not just to be treated as an extension of their parents.
That being said, you do not seem to be explicitly following that tradition. However, I would still place Ambrose in the middle and use a different first name. Most people will assume you were trying to name your kid after yourself.
