Ada and Leo’s relationship is at an end. She and the two children have moved back in with Thomas and Sophia, though this arrangement is only intended to be temporary. Leo visits the kids as frequently as his demanding schedule will allow, and both adore spending time with him. Charlotte has inherited her mother’s sunny confidence and her father’s brashness, and hero-worships her aunt Beatrice, whilst Max is shyer and more awkward in social situations. Their relationships has been settled and content, with both being similarly quiet people, and their two children have inherited this trait. Luca has left behind retail and is in his element in an office job, and is the proud owner of an apartment. He is having some disputes with his neighbour about the correct volume of the TV, courtesy of Marcel, who has joined his older brother. Money is tight for him as he currently doesn’t have a job, having lost his previous one for accidentally draining all the oil from a car he was meant to repair. Oscar is in his last year of school and on track for surprisingly good exam grades, while Bea has decided she wants to travel the world and become a tour guide.
