I think Mia is an unlucky name, so I’d definitely choose a full name, and not use Mia as the given name.

I see Mia as a full name, since it's not used as a nickname in the circles I run in. And I know Andie seems like it should be a obvious nickname for Andrea, but I've known about a thousand Andreas and not a single one used Andie, so I'm more apt to use it as a nickname for something like Andromeda or Alexandrina.

Alexandrina & Mia are a bit mismatched though, so maybe I'd go with Mariamne "Mia" & Alexandrina "Andie". MAriamne was the first thing that came to my mind, and I do like that name. Very fanciful.

I think Mia is fine as a full name. I used to not like it at all, thought it sounded like a cat demanding to be fed, but it has grown somewhat on me.

My mother's full name is Andie, so that seems very normal to me. I think Mia could definitely stand on its own. Both have great nn potential. For Mia, I'd suggest Miranda, Maria, Camilla, Amelia, Magnolia, Milena, Maia, and Michaela. For Andie, I like Andrea, Adeline, Andromeda, Andalucia, or Arden.

Mia -> Maria. Andie presumably -> Andrea, but since I don't enjoy it, I'd hope for Adrienne, though it is a stretch.

Mia and Andie don't spark anything within me, unfortunately, I feel very neutral towards them. Mia can stand on it's own, but Andie does come off as nicknamey.
I would love longer variations of them, though! Maybe go off the beaten path with having Mia short for Euphemia. I'm also quite fond of Andrina, so it feels perfect for Andie.
