[Opinions] Antoinette
How do you feel about Antoinette? Its always been a favorite of mine. Antoinette is a French name, a feminine diminutive of Antoine. Antoine is derived from the Latin Antonius, which may have meant "priceless" or "invaluable". What middle names would you pair with Antoinette? Thanks

I really like it, especially because it had multiple nn options. Ann or Annie or Nettie if the person prefers a more feminine name. Toni's there if they want something more neutral/masculine. It's just nice to have lots of options. My name has no traditional/clear nn and as a result I've never had one that stuck as a replacement for my name (which I don't like lol). So I think it's good to give a kid a name with lots of nn options.
I can't deny it's aristocratic and stylish. I forgot how much I esteemed Antoinette. I also like Nettie as a nickname.Antoinette Cornelia

It was in my ten for awhile but dropped off after I couldn’t decide how to pronounce it (“Anne-TWAH-net” or “Anne-TAH-net” or “Anne-TO-net”), names with multiple pronunciations is a pet peeve of mine. I still love it though, she’s fancy and vintage and princessy and has so many great nicknames. I also love Antonia but Antoinette is quirkier which I prefer.
It's a nice name, though it takes up a lot of space, literally and figuratively. I really like the nn Toni, and would actually rather use that on its own than deal with Antoinette.
I like it; a school friend was Antoinette and sometimes known as Anti! When she went to nursing college she became Toni overnight. I would be more likely to use Antonia than Antoinette - less frilly and fussy, though my friend was neither. Her mn was Marion, which I didn't like: too close to Marie Antoinette, who came to a sad end but wasn't really a role model.
Antoinette Susan is pleasantly vintage. Antoinette Cecily is doubly feminine but sounds good. Antoinette Rose updates it. Antoinette Desiree is doubly French!
I really like all of these combos, especially Antoinette Desiree!
