Not a massive fan.
It's nice enough, but I definitely like it more in theory than I actually -do- like it. It's interesting. But in reality, as much as I try to convince myself otherwise, I don't like the spelling or either of the pronounciations - Isolda -type just sounds like 'is older' to me, and the two syllable version is just 'is old'. It's really heavy sounding, clunky in a bad way. It feels like it should be prettier than it is. And I'm not overly enamoured with the tragic romance angle of the meaning either.
Iseult, Yseult and Esyllt are all far, far prettier and less clunky, I like all of those. Eseld is cool in a clunkier way. Isolde itself is just not it, imho.
