[Opinions] Thoughts on…
Naomi
RuthGabrielAnd on a completely different note, River for a boy? I love it for a girl but am not sure on a boy.

Ruth has really been growing on me, via Ruthie, which I think is adorable. I also love Ruth's meaning.Naomi is like an interesting bug to me. One those real shiny iridescent ones, you know? I admire it but I don't know if I actually like it. I go back and forth.Gabriel is nice. It's beautiful-handsome. River on a boy seems fine to me. Wasn't this the Phoenix brother who died? Ironically River feels very hard and abrupt to me, it has no flow. It feels more industrial to me than natural.
I have the opposite opinion of almost all the other replies. Although I love Biblical names in general, I hate Naomi, Ruth and Gabriel. They all have horrible sounds to me. On the flip side, like you, I love River on a girl. I think it’s nice on a boy too but I definitely prefer it on a girl.
Love Naomi and Gabriel Hate Ruth and River
Ruth is an all-time favourite which I'd gladly use. Naomi is OK, used to be a brand of ladies' underwear, which spoilt it. Gabriel is fine, if rather ambitious if you believe in angels.I don't appreciate River as a name for any human.
Love Naomi, Ruth and Gabriel. I considered the versions Noemi and Rut for my girls. The first time I saw River used as a name it was for a boy, so it skews masculine to me.
Ruth is my favorite. Naomi is ok. I like Gabriel for a boy, but I'm not a fan of River.
I love Biblical names, so this is right in my wheelhouse. I like, though don't love, all three names.Ruth and Naomi are so integrated in one another's stories in the Biblical story and I think it might be a little close for comfort as a sibset.Gabriel is good.I think River is dreadful on any gender.
Ruth is lovely—so stoic and elegant.Naomi and Gabriel both bother me because of how nasal and whiny they sound.
I like Naomi a lot. Ruth has an ugly sound to me.
Gabriel is okay but kind of whiny.
Hate River as a name.
Both Ruth and Naomi are nice, Gabriel is fine, not my favorite. I despise River.
