If you saw the name Dovid, how would you think to pronounce it? Likewise for Davide?

Do you hear them differently from one another?

If you saw the nickname, Dov, how would you pronounce it?

Dovid: As it looks, with a short 'o' (as in the word obvious)and an i which is between hard and soft.

Davide: soft 'a' (as in apple), long 'i'. Daveed.

Dov: with a soft 'o' as above.

Where does the accent fall in Dovid? Can you write out the phonetic pronounciation? What do you mean by, "an i which is between hard and soft"?
