Margaret has great nns built into it, so don't feel like you have to use
Marge (I think of "The Simpson") or
Margie. I knew a girl named
Margie, but she prn it w/a hard g. Instead of MAR-jee, it was MAR-ghee. Cute, but the prn isn't intuitive from the spelling. There's also
Meg &
Peg,
Mara,
Megan, Marg,
Madge,
Midge,
Mayme, Maisie...like I said, tons of options.
My DH's grandmother was
Margaret Belrose, which I think is a lovely combo. You're welcome to use it, if you like it. :o)
