I met a girl with this name the other day, but her last name was Christmas. Her full names is Mary Elizabeth Christmas. She goes by a nn that has nothing to do with her first or middle name. I love the name Mary, but I don't think I would name my daughter this if my last name was Christmas, but that is just my opinion. What do you think?

Mary Christmas. It just reminds me too much of the holiday greeting.

Mary Christmas. It reminds me of a rather common name in France, Marie-Noelle (click Marie and Noelle). :)

I think that Mary is a fine name (I've started to like it better since I saw Saved!), but naming a child Mary Christmas seems cruel and an incredibly twee attempt at being cute on her parents' part.

True storie, I swear (this stuff is too weird to make up):
My step father met a woman named Merry Christmas. Yes, It was Mary, spelled like Merry. And get this, her sister's name was Holly. Those parents are just mean.

I wouldn't name my daughter Mary, if my last name is Christmas. Maybe as a middle name...well actually, I'm not sure if even as a middle name.

I agree, although the name is "neat" I don't think I'd subject my daughter to that name.
