[Opinions] Velma
I don't know how I feel about it. I was trying to remember the girl's name from Scooby Doo this morning, and it just came to me a few minutes ago. I love V names, so I could see this name growing on me. What do you think of Velma? Does it sound old to you? I personally find it to sound kind of spunky. So, wdyt? Any mn suggestions? Thanks in advance!Edit: Random, but do you think Levi & Lior are too close for brothers? I worry that they are, but I love both names and their meanings.

I love it because of Velma Kelly, the character in Chocago. It's very sassy and strong :-)

I like it. Keep in mind, I love seeing *old-fashioned* names brought back to life, so I may not be a representative sample of popular opinion. Velma reminds me of a 1920's flapper. Names like Theda (Bara), Veda, Zelda and Velma all have that silent movie vamp quality to them that I find very appealing.

It does sound old to me, but then again, the only Velma I've ever met was my 4th grade teacher who, to a nine-year-old, seemed truly ancient (and she was pretty old -- over 70).Levi and Lior are quite close, but not unacceptably so.-- Sarah
