[Opinions] Meliora?
WDYT of Meliora?
I don't know if I'd ever actually use it on a real child, but I like the way it sounds and looks.
(It's the name of an RPG character of mine ;P)

I love this name. It's unusual but pretty.

All I see is the word "ameliorate". That just may be me though!
Oooh, I like it! It really does sound like something from WoW, but I have a list of gp WoW names I've seen, and I love the names my characters have! I'd love to use them on real children, but they might have to go in as middle names!

At first glance it reminded me of 'malodorous.' I'm afraid that was its death knell for me. It's kind of frilly sounding in an unappealing way for me besides. I don't hate it, but it's not going to become one of my favorites.

MEH-lee-OH-ra is how I say it. Great character name. I like it. I think it'd be fine in real life too. Also, Melora was on my list of possible names for my daughter, which I think I first saw on someone's WoW character. =P

I like it, actually. I dislike the NN Mel, and I could see it being used, but the sound (Mel-ee-ora, right?), look, and meaning are really nice. I would call her Ora as a NN methinks (since, well, it is pretty long).

That's how I'm pronouncing it, but I don't know if it's the correct way since I'm not very familiar with Latin. It could be mel-eye-ora, which sounds pretty nice too. :)
