[Opinions] Catherine
I have always loved the name Catherine, I think it is beautiful, classic, and very feminine. I plan to use it someday if I have a girl. My problem is with coming up with a middle name...I can't find anything that "fits" with Catherine. Any suggestions? I love a lot of old-fashioned girls names, but I think Catherine needs something a little bit "different." I love different but still legit names, such as Isadora, and I also have a weakness for Greek names such as Ariadne. Thanks!

My grandmother was Kathryn Inez. My soon-to-be niece will be Kathryn Joyce after my grandmother and my mom. I know you plan to use a different spelling of Kathryn but I think Inez and Joyce both sound pretty with Kathryn/Catherine. Other names I find pretty that are legitimate but a little more unusual:Catherine Aurora
Catherine Elaina
Catherine Elaine
Catherine Ayla
Catherine Azura or Azora
Catherine Bella
Catherine Eleanor
Catherine Estelle
Catherine Fiona
Catherine Isolde
Cahterine Maeve
Catherine Alessandra (or Alexandra)
Catherine Zaida

Personally I like the name Catherine Rose the best. With a longer name like Catherine you need a shorter middle name.

I like Catherine too, though I prefer the Katherine spelling. I think with a longish name like Catherine, a simpler, shorter middle name is what's called for. I know Catherine Elizabeth is very popular, but I think it makes the whole name long and ponderous.
So here's a handful of ideas:
Catherine Anne
Catherine Christine
Catherine Claire
Catherine Dawn
Catherine Ellen
Catherine Elaine
Catherine Erin
Catherine Faye
Catherine Grace
Catherine Irene
Catherine Jane
Catherine Jean
Catherine Joy
Catherine Joyce
Catherine Jewel
Catherine Leigh
Catherine Louise
Catherine Mae
Catherine Mary
Catherine Margaret
Catherine Michelle
Catherine Nicole
