[Opinions] Theo.
I'm liking this a lot recently. Just Theo not short for Theodore or anything like that.
I'm also liking Beatrice / Beatrix and Elisabeth. I don't usually like older names. I like Isabella ,Isabelle ,Madeline , Maisie , Phoebe etc.Tell me what you think & if you have any favourites of your own please let me know :P x

Theo- not bad.
Beatrice, Beatrix- definately Beatrice, Trixie sounds like a stripper.
Elisabeth- prefer Elizabeth.
Isabella- like.
Isabelle- like.
Madeline- okay, prefer Madeleine or Madelyn.
Maisie- sounds like maize (corn).
Phoebe- sounds too much like feeble.

Theo - Very fresh and not used very often. Cool name!
Beatrice - I prefer this to Beatrix, and I don't loath it as much as I once did. It's growing on me.
Elisabeth - I like this very much as a mn. It's a "softer" alternative to Elizabeth.

Ooh, I LOVE the name Theo. But I do love it short for Theodore. (The reason I love both names is a story I read with a character called Theodore nn Theo, so it goes like that for me.)As for the other names: Beatrix is really nice, Beatrice more stuffyish, but still nice. I like Madeline, Maisie is that mouse and Phoebe is nms. Isabella is much too frilly. And now for my why-must-you-spell-it-that-way rants about the others:Isabel is a perfectly nice name. It's even pretty, though frilly. But Isabelle looks a lot uglier, and like it's ought to be pronounced i-za-BEL, and it looks much too frilly. Isabel is lovely, why ruin it?And Elisabeth, I am sorry, but it looks much wussier than Elizabeth. And misspelled. I don't care whether it's legit. Elizabeth is very nice, classic, recognized, and the Z makes it much cooler than Elisabeth. And if it's the popularity that bothers you, it won't be any less common if you spell it like that. Those are actually The Names I Hate With an Actual Reason. Except Helena. Add Helena to that list and you've given me all my rants.ETA: About Theo, I don't think it should be used as a full name. It means God on its own, and that isn't good. Like naming a kid God. He'd have a lot to live up to. Too bad, I love the sound/look.

I love it. I've always wondered why no-one ever uses plain Theo as a full name. It's always either Ted or Theo as a mere nn for Theodore (which I do like, too). I think it's a simple yet very handsome name - goes well with Beatrice / Beatrix and/or Elisabeth, BTW. They're insanely beautiful and sophistocated names, too.

Theo as a name on its own bothers me for some reason. :-/ Probably just because I love Theodore and nn's Ted and Teddy so much more than Theo. I love Beatrice and Maisie, but the others are a bit dull, imo.

I like Theo. It's my cat's name. =) Just Theo, not Theodore.I'm not a fan of Beatrice or Beatrix. However, I do like Elisabeth. There's something about this spelling - it's the only way I like it! I also like Madeline & Maisie.
