Yeah... I don't like place names to begin with, but this is not feminine at all. It is clumsy and tacky.
What about Penelope? It has a similar sound.

Polona?
Tria?
Trina?
Trista?
Savitri? - it's "exotic," but much prettier
These are all pretty and similar. I don't especially like Tria/Trina/Trista, but even those are better than Tripoli!
