[Opinions] Don't know whyyyyy....
There's no sun up in the skyyyyyy, stormy weather. Since my man and I ain't together....keeps raining all the tiiii---iiimmmmeeee.One of my favourite standards. :) If I knew a Stormy, she'd hear that song a lot from me, but I suspect I'm an oddball in this case. Most of the kids her age (and the adults, aka kids my age ;) wouldn't know the song if it spat in their faces, alas.Stormy, in the end, sounds like either a horse (ever read Marguerite Henry's Stormy, Misty's Foal? Me neither, but it's what I think of) or an angst-ridden protaganist in a poorly written teen "issues" novel. If I met one and she made a good impression, I suspect I'd find it really cool, though. On the other hand, Stormy Weather would be a cool name, particularly if it was what the weather was like when she was born. :DArray

I sing "Stormy Weather" to my cat, Stormy, quite often. She thinks I'm nuts. :b She's a tortie, and her coat is quite dark and swirly, like a storm. But I also gave her that name because I 1) got her in a stormy time in my life (figuratively speaking), and 2) because (literally) it was also hurricane season. Two years ago this month, actually. :bSpeaking of singing songs to people--My best friend is named Kimmie but her nn of sorts is Irene (she was almost named Irene Rowena--wouldn't that have been great?!--and my sister wanted to name me Juanita Marie, so she & I often call each other by these names...we're strange like that). So I often sing "Goodnight, Irene" to her. Another old song. She searched on the net to find a song with Juanita in it, and we found some 1950s song called "Unchain My Heart, Juanita". But we only found the lyrics and not the track. :(Wow, got off on a tangent there. :-/ Need to go to bed....
