I made up this last name (Faulkes) one day for a character. I went online to the social security database and it's REAL (but uncommon). Info please! thanx

Yes, the English Faulk and Faulkes are the same, Fawkes is another spelling. All come from the Germanic Falco, and so are ultimately the same as the German surname Falk.
