All of a sudden, I really like Amarantha. I love the meaning!

I have some questions, though:
Wdyt of this name? Wdyt of the nn Ama? Do you have any other nn ideas besides Mara (which I loathe because of an association)? Could you suggest some mns for Amarantha?

Amarantha is lovely, as well as Amaranthe & Amarante : )

Ama is a good nickname for it. You could also call her Ara or Amara.

I like it a lot, though I prefer Amaranta.

Ama is nice enough, though it would like be frequently confused with the more common Ana/ Anna. I can't think of any nicknames derived from Amarantha that I like much better. Maybe she could have an unrelated nickname?

The name isn't to bad, but I just can't get past the amaranth association. I don't like amaranth. But my mum likes to cook it. :-)
What about "Rant" as a nn? ;-)

Amarantha is nice although I slightly prefer Amaranthe. The possible nns that come to my mind are Ammy, Amma, Mary, Ari, Ranth, Rantha, Ranthy, Ran, Ranny, etc.
