[Opinions] Aspen
My sister has a friend whose son is named Aspen? I thought, for a boy? What do you think?

I've only seen it on girls lately, but I find it to be extremely tacky either way. :-/ And anyway, who wants ASS on the beginning of their name?

Ahh...My friend has a daughter by this name, and it is virtually impossible not to accidentally shorten it to a$$. For that reason, I think it is an awful thing to do to a boy or a girl.

Nice for either gender! I kinda like it, it can grow on me

Well, it's the name of a tree, so imo it's unisex. Still, I'm too used to it being used for females to entirely accept it on a male. I don't like it, but I think it's better than Mackenzie on a girl.

I prefer it for a girl, but I guess it doesn't matter. It's a nature name so really it could go both ways.

I dislike it enough on a girl, it's even worse on aboy. Sounds like a ski bunny.

I don't even like it for a girl, not to mention for a boy! NMSAA!

I dislike it on either gender, but I do tend to see it more for a girl since that's that capacity in which I'm more accustomed to seeing it. I think it's yuppie sounding, though. And it reminds me of a South Part gag that my boyfriend and I quote frequently, when the kids and their families spend a free weekend in Aspen to look into buying timeshares. Dumb association, but I never liked it as a name anyway.

Aspen's not so bad for a boy, even though I'm not a big fan of the name. I think it would better suit a girl, though.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm used to thinking of botanical / nature names for girls. But sure, why not? It wouldn't be my choice, but it's not that "out there." It sort of reminds me of Asher.
