I've known a couple of III's that went by Trey, and one or two more that went by Trip. I don't love or hate either one, but I'm just not crazy about Jr's, or III's in general. :-/

Not uncommon, I know a couple guys wh are the III in their family and go by Trey. I don't go for namiong "after" people, but I don't really mind the name Trey. It beats Junior, that's for sure.

I like Trey as a name but I think it is a very cute nickname for a third.:)
