[Opinions] Annabel / Annabelle ...
WDYT of the name Annabel / Annabelle?
It's a bit common compared to my normal taste in names, but I'm liking it lately. I seem to see it a lot lately, and I of course love the poem Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe. Also, last night I re-read a book that I loved as a child and the main character was named Annabel.
Which spelling do you like best? Annabel represents the literary connections, but Annabelle honors family moreso.
With the combo Annabelle Ruth it would honor both of my grandmothers, my mother, my sister and myself.
Now, do you prefer Annabel / Annabelle or Mirabel / Mirabelle? Or just plain Mira? (I wouldn't use Anna alone at all.)

- I really like the name. My fave spelling is Annabelle.
Annabelle Ruth is a fantastic combo and it's great that it would honour so many people too.
I prefer Annabel/Annabelle to Mirabel/Mirabelle. I don't mind just Mira though. I'd still go with Annabelle out of all the names.

Thanks Annabelle! ; ) Just FYI, there's a bit of a rule here that you need to use only one user name and let the Admin know when you decide to change it : )
I really love the spelling Annabel, mainly because of the poem. Both Annabel Ruth or Annabelle Ruth are beautiful. I don't think it would matter which way you spell it; either way it honors your family, since it is still pretty much the same name.

I love the name Annabel / Annabelle! I think it's a really pretty name :-).
I like both spellings but I think I do like Annabelle just a little bit more. If Annabelle honors the family more then I think you should use that spelling.
I don't really like Ruth but Annabelle Ruth is a gorgeous combo!
I definately prefer Annabel / Annabelle over Mirabel / Mirabelle.

I've really been liking Annabella lately as a middle name, and I do like Annabel quite a bit too. I think it's really pretty spelled either way but if I was going to use the name I'd probably spell it Annabelle because it looks totaly feminine and very sweet.
Annabelle Ruth is very pretty and not at all plain.
Between Mirabel and Annabelle I prefer Annabelle because I see it as more of a name where as Mirabel just seems like two names quashed together. I prefer Mira over Mirabel (and I prefer this spelling to Mirabelle which looks very contrived to me).

I really can't stand it, I'm afraid. I hate Anna desperately, and with -bel on it, it sounds like the only way it could be even more yuupified. The only benefit is that you could call her Bubbles (like Annabel Andrews in Mary Rodgers' Freaky Friday tries to get people to do), and that's not enough to make me pull it out of the Juliana-Liliana category.
Mirabel(le), on the other hand, is lovely as all getout. I love it and Mira both. :)

Haha, yes I know you tend to dislike Anna names. I would be more like to call Annabelle by the nickname Belle though. Mirabelle however would be called Mira as a nickname. I've only know a couple of Annabel/le's before, and they weren't "yuppy" at all, haha.
The book that I refered to is called "No Flying in the House" by Betty Brock, it's a cute little story that you might like : )
