[Opinions] Re: Boniface
in reply to a message by Ju-lisha
i don't know whether it is French or not as claire stated
but Boniface was a Saint
Saint Bonifatius was a missionair in Western Europe, he was the first to travel to England to speak about Christianity (is said) and he was killed in Dokkum, The Netherlands, where there is still a monument for him
'bonifatius' looks very Latin to me: 'bonus' means 'good' and 'fatius' is from 'ferre' which means 'to do', so in total it means "someone who does good" (weldoener in Dutch, benefactor in English)
