[Surname] Adair
I believe it's Irish, but what is the origin/geographical region?

Adair:
Scottish (Galloway) and northern Irish: from the Scottish personal name Adair, also spelled Ed?ear, a form of Edgar.

Yes it is Scottish, but, according to Edward MacLysaght, there was a family called O Daire in Co. Offaly, Ireland, who adopted Adair as the English language version of their surname. It seems they account for very few present-day Adairs.
