[Opinions] Thoughts on Elora
In my search for the perfect name for baby #3 ... someone suggested Elora. I have not heard of it before so it is unique to me and if I am pronouncing it correctly ... EH-Lore-A, it is quite a pretty name. How would you pronounce Elora and how would you spell it? How do you think it sounds with Jolize and Jemma?TIA
Tanya :)

Elora Dananis the first thought that pops into my head. She was the baby being hidden from an evil queen in the movie Willow. They pronounced it eh-LOR-ah in the movie.

Elora is lovely! I also love Alora & Melora : )The baby in the movie Willow was named Elora, and some people may remember the name from that.Elora may mean either “God is Light” or “God Gives the Laurel”.BTW, I did a poll not long ago about the pronunciation of Elora: http://www.behindthename.com/polls/view.php?id=60232

Elora is a beautiful name, and it sounds nice with Jolize and Jemma. I'm surprised that Elora and Melora aren't in the database. I also like Eliora (ELL-ee-OR-a) and Liora (lee-OR-a). I would stick with the spelling Elora.BTW I pronounce Elora like Laura / Lora with an -eh sound attached at the beginning.

I also agree that this name is appsolutly divergent, and irradicts authenticity. Wonderful choice! However, I perfer the spelling Alora. I think it seems more "wholesome" in one way or another!~*STARLA-MARIE*~

I would pronounce it eh-LORE-ah. It's ok, but it seems kind of incomplete to me. Maybe because I really like the name Melora and it reminds me of that. I think it sounds fine with Jolize and Jemma. :)
