[Opinions] Etta
Opinions on Etta as a full name? Of course Etta James comes to mind, but in my opinion, that's a good thing. Middle name suggestions?

Etta is a great name, I love it. But I think I still prefer it as a nickname to an -etta name. (Benedetta, Coretta, Concetta... Jamesetta, I saw what Array wrote and it's growing on me)Um... middle names... Etta Jamesina! No... Etta Ellen
Etta Belle
Etta Elizabeth
Etta Marina
Etta Elaine
Etta Marissa
Etta Antonia
Etta JacintaI think it sounds terrific with alliteration. And when I was writing the combos, my head kept being invaded with rhymes - Etta Coretta, Etta Marietta, etc. Those sound great too, but are definitely not to be taken seriously.Noa

I think Etta is fine as a full name. Etta James comes to my mind as well and that's a good thing for me too.

I love it. Etta James is an amazing woman--I saw her in concert this spring--and if I used the name, I'd use it for her. I think I like it best as a nickname for Coretta (for Coretta Scott King, another woman more than worthy of veneration), but it works beautifully as a full name, too.Etta James' given name was Jamesetta Hawkins, by the way--and I'd be lying if I said I didn't like Jamesetta, too. :)I'll think of some combos and get back to you on it.Array

I think Etta would work good as a full name. But I have no idea who Etta James is :)Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Etta James is a legendary blues singer. You might know her song "At Last." (At Last, my love has come along...) It's beautiful!

I don't like it either as a full name or as an ending. By itself it makes me think of some 80-year-old mean lady who chases kids out of her yard with a broom.
