[Opinions] Quinn

WDYT of Quinn? I'm leaning more towards having it as a girl's name. I'm looking for a very very feminine middle name to balance it, though! Suggestions?Would Quinn (g) and Lilah as a sibset be too "mismatchy"?Wdyt of Mariel Quinn? Thanks in advance, everyone!

I think Quinn and Lilah are a pretty ok sib set. I really like Quinn more for boys, but I like name Quintessa, which the nn Quinn for girls. Mariel Quinn is very cute for a girl though. Girls names Quinn always make me think of the show Doctor Quinn - Medicine Woman or something like that.---------------------------------------------------------------------My Favorite Names:Girls: Sabriel, Serafina, Augustine, Katriana, Arianna, Adelina, Audriana, Catriona, Josceline, Avianna, Mariana, Artemis, Taianna, Genevieve, and Keira.Boys: Keiran, Quinn, Silas, Gavin, Aidan, Vincent, Cedric, Rowan, Mica, Xavier, Ian, Finley, Damian, Laika, and Kaidan.

I love Quinn on both a girl and a boy, though like you, I think I like it better on a girl. On my top 20 list, I use the combo Quinn Eleanora.Quinn and Lilah sound like a nice sibset. They don't seem mismatchy to me at all.Mariel Quinn is nms. I don't like Mariel at all, sorry.**~**~**~**~**~**~**

I don't like this for a boy's name. It's interesting as a girl's name. Obviously, Victoria, Elizabeth and any other Queen name is out. Quinn Athena

Quinn Celestine
Quinn AlexandrineOK... does anyone else still think these are sounding like "Queen---"?

I adore Quinn, but for a boy only. I don't particularly like it for a girl, but I wouldn't completely object to it.

Well, I still don't like Lilah. But...1. I don't believe in making sibling names "match," or even thinking about it beyond looking at about how my perception of the name is changed when set next to different names.and2. If Quinn and Daria can be siblings, surely Quinn and Lilah could be.Honestly, I think they sound as though they "match" for siblings. I certainly favour one name over the other, but they sound like a very plausible sibset. ;)Quinn Alexina's really doing it for me tonight, personally.Array

"Newfangled Lynn"- Could you please explain? Thanks!

Well, Lynn is dated now, but there was a time when it seemed hip and fresh and "now." Quinn seems current now, with its striking Q and surnaminess, but it fills the same niche among semi-popular names as I imagine Lynn once did - short, smart, unisex, dynamic seeming. It just seems like folks who would've used Lynn in, say, 1916, would use Quinn today.- mirfak

I've never thought Quinn to be masculine; maybe that's because I always think of the tv show Daria.Quinn and Lilah sound great, but I don't like Mariel Quinn.Suggestions:
Quinn Elisabeth
Quinn Amelia
Quinn Sofia or Sophia

Well, I love it on a boy. However, I can't really see it on a girl as a first name. Mariel Quinn is great though! I'd definitely use Quinn as a mn instead of as a fn.
