I like Janaya the best. Are you pronoucing it jah-nai-ya or jah-nay-ya? Personally I prefer jah-nai-ya, it's smoother.

It's okay, not really my style. I definitely think the best spelling is Janaya though, if you're pronouncing it how I'm saying it, which is jah-nay-ah. If you say it like this too, I don't think the others make as much sense.Check Out Blinkyou.com for thousands of custom glitters and layouts

Hmm. Where does this name come from? Is it made up? I find it very difficult to attach myself to a name without some pleasant association. I need more than just a pleasing sound. Names that are made up rob me of this pleasure. If I had some more background on the name, I might like it. But for right now, it does nothing for me.What would you say to Linnea (li-NAY-a), or Mireya (meer-AY-a)? Mireya is not in the BtN database, but I believe it is a Spanish girl's name.

Well actually...Mireya, possibly. Linnea I love :) Thanks!Janaya was a girl I met the other day of the African-American descent. Someone asked her mother where the name oiginated, and she said somewhere in Africa so... yea :)FYI, hetr sister's name was Alisha

I looked up Mireya because I wanted to be sure. Try:http://baby-names.adoption.com/search/Mireya.htmlAccording to this site, Mireya and Mireille, the French variant, both mean "miraculous."
