Help[Surname] Zacher
My last name is Zacher - All I know is that my Dad's dad was very German, and I'm definitely thinking this last name is as well. Anyone know what the suffix -ER is and what Zach would mean? Thanks.

It is likely to have come from Sachaverell in Normandy, like the English equivalent.
