I love both names. :-)

I like Thea and Dora, also Dory/Dori or even Teddi. :b I like both Theodora and Dorothea (and Dorothy) pretty much equally, but if I had to pick - Theodora.

Love it. It's utterly gorgoeus, sophisticated, and very strong. One of my favourite girl names at the moment, actually. Both Thea and Dora are lovely nicknames, but I personally would favour Thea.
Dorothea is also extremely beautiful and very elegant, and as far as I'm concerned, it's also much better than the more common variant of the name, Dorothy.
I love both Theodora and Dorothea equally. Couldn't decide between them.

I love it pron. TAY-oh-dor-ah. Prn THEE-oh-dor-ah is nice, too, but not my favorite. I think it's beautiful, and with the nn possibilities, could easily be considered modern rather than stodgy. I like Thea; Dora's nice too, and I've even seen a feminine Ted/dy. I can't use it, though, because my last name is a version of Theodore and it would be redundant, though not obvious.
I dislike Dorothea.

When comparing Theodora to Dorothea, I think the former is much prettier and more... timeless than antique (Dorothea would instantly bring to mind Dorothy, which because of the movie, has an old fashioned ring to it that's, in my opinion, just isn't ready for modern times. Though I do know one girl my age -20- who is named Dorothy. She hates it though and prefers to go by her mn - Lindsay).
And then when it comes to Theodora, which is just gorgeous imo, I like Theodosia (theo-dozsh-ah) even better.
