[Opinions] Brendan or Ryan?
We have a 3 year old named Connor James. Going to find out the next baby's gender in 1.5 weeks. Connor's popularity has been mostly in the 30s in the past decade or so, whereas Ryan has been closer to the top 10. Having 2nd thoughts about that.Which do you like better?Brendan Lee
Ryan Lee

I really like Brendan & Ryan, but if I had to only choose one, I'd probably be more inclined to go with Ryan. I think it goes slightly better with Connor. BTW, I love the name Connor James! :)

I like Ryan Lee, I'd go with that out of these two choices, despite the popularity. Brendan Lee doesn't sound that great to me and it also reminds me of Brandon Lee. But truthfully I'd look for another name to go with Lee, something less popular. btw, Connor James is a really good combo :)Some suggestions (feel free to ignore them if they're unwanted ;)

BrianWhat a nice suggestion! Brian is an overlooked classic, and happens to be a nice cross of Ryan and Brendan. (Just not that Bryan spelling, please.) I hope the parents like Brian too.

My thoughts exactlyBryan was meant to be close to, but less popular than Ryan. Brian would be better :)Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Bryan is an ex so no go.
We're really down to Ryan or Brendan. I think Ryan sounds stronger, and if I were a guy I'd want a strong popular name over a weak cutesie name any day. Used to love Brendan...now it seems a lil soft to my ear.

Ryan if I had to pick. Brendan does seem soft. :)Ryan and Brendan seem pretty 80s and 90s, whereas Connor seems more now... That's just my opinion. Some names that I think sound nice with Connor:Aidan

BrendanBrendan Lee, by far. Ryan is a surname, to me, and best left for the Ryan families to hand down. Besides, St. Brendan the Navigator is an awesome role model: http://www.castletown.com/brendan/htm Imagine reading him to sleep with tales of Brendan's voyages. The River Lee flows through County Cork, by the way. If you're Irish, it's a nice tribute (and a tributary*, too.)
* D'oh! That was bad. Sorry.

LOL @ tribute/tributary haha!My side is Irish (mom's maiden Riordan)...Connor is a surname as is dh's fn James, so it's not a biggie to me.I'll have to look up that link. That would be cool!

The link isn't working, but here's another way to find it. . . .The link isn't working! Argh. Well, it works if you click on http://www.castletown.com . Then, click on "Who Really Discovered America?" link and you'll find it. Sorry about that. I've double checked the address and it should have worked.Or you can just google "Brendan" and "Navigator" and lots of sites appear.

How about Rory, to (sort of) honor your mother's surname? Connor and Rory sound like a couple of heart-breakers to me. Very dashing.

I love Rory but hubby doesn't. Bleh!

I like Brennan better than either.
