Wendy is nms, but it's ok for someone else's child. It's fine by itself, and it works for children and adults.

I love it. I can picture on an adult, definitely. I don't see it as a nn at all. Wendy is a separate name from Gwendolyn. I don't even like Gwendolyn that much. My favorite combo is Wendy Moira (and I'll totally use it someday) after Peter Pan's Wendy Moira Angela Darling. =)

It's a realized full first name - has been for a long time now and I don't think people would automatically associate it as a "nn" at all.

Personally, I love it. I'd like to use it myself except that it's the name of my Aunt (who's now 37 and has worn it well over the years) and I don't want to play favorites when I have 12 other Aunts... It's a name that grows with the person, I think.

I like the name Wendy. I know a woman named Wendy who is the one of the sweetest people on earth, so I associate it with her. :-)

My adult cousin's name is Wendy and it works very nicely for her. It definitely suits her as an adult, and she HATES her full name Gwendolyn and never uses it. I think she might have even legally changed her name from Gwendolyn to Wendy.

I know an adult named Wendy i love it.

It works well as a stand alone name. In fact, I had never thought of it as a nick name before. I have a friend in her 30s named Wendy and it suits her just fine.

This is my mother's name, so I can definitely picture it on a adult. It is definitely not too nicknamey to be used as a first name.

I think Wendy would age well. I can imagine it on a infant, a teenager, an adult, and even an elder woman. I don't find it too nicknamey either.

I think it could work, especially as a nn for Gwendolyn. I also MUCH prefer this spelling to Windy. It looks more like a name and less like an adjective to describe the weather.

Yes, I can picutre a grown-up Wendy very easily, having knowna few. I think it's cute enough to use on its own, but I guess it could work as a nn too.
