I highly prefer Sidney for a boy. The name always seemed highly masculine to me, especially with nn Sid.
As for the sibset, it seems to be trying to hard to be a crusader for boys' names on boys. If you honestly love those names more than any other name, then sure use them together; otherwise, it just seems pretentious.
